Alliance Air connects Ranchi-Bhubaneshwar

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) Indian (Airlines) will introduce a new daily service linking Delhi to Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar in the evenings from February 28.

The flight will be operated by its subsidiary Alliance Air. At present, Indian operates a direct daily flight each from Delhi to Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar with an Airbus A320 in the morning.

It is for the first time that Ranchi will be connected to Bhubaneshwar by air.

The new B737 service will leave Delhi at 1630 hrs and reach Ranchi at 1805 hrs. It will then take off from Ranchi at 1835 hrs and land at Bhubaneshwar at 1925 hrs.

The flight will depart from Bhubaneshwar at 1955 hrs on its last leg and arrive Delhi at 2155 hrs.

Fresh violence in Indore

Indore, Mar 11 (UNI) Police lobbed tear-gas shells and used mild force to control the situation after members of two communities clashed in the sensitive Toda area of the city this morning which left around four persons injured. Police said the violence broke out over an argument related to filling water. However, it was also being said that the argument started after some girls were eve-teased. Policeman arrested for smuggling pistol cartridges

Dehra Dun, Mar 11 (UNI) A policeman was today arrested for allegedly smuggling live pistol cartridges from a police armoury and selling them to anti-social elements. According to police sources, on receiving a tip off, a decoy customer was deployed to trap Govindram, a Head Armour in Police Line Armoury, involved in smuggling cartridges from the armoury. Railways considering reducing service charge on e-ticket by Holi

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) With a view to boosting booking of railway tickets through the Internet, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp is considering reducing service charge rptg charge on the e-ticketing facility. IRCTC Managing Director P K Goyal said the service charge on e-ticketing could come down by Holi. At present, Rs 25 are charged as service charge on second class and sleeper e-tickets and Rs 40 on all other e-tickets. Rs 25 may be brought down to Rs.....
