Agitations against final verdict of CWDT continues

Mysore, Feb 25 (UNI) Agitations against final verdit of Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal (CWDT) continued in the Cauvery basin districts of Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagara today.

In Mandya district, the protest got a boost with former Mysore University Vice Chancellor and renowned writer De JE Gowda joining the agitation. Freedom fighters of the Mandya district staged dharna in support to the agitation. The construction workers took out a huge bullock cart procession.

The Autorickshaw drivers took out a rally from Srirangapatna to Mandya demanding justice. Dharna and Rasta Roko were reported from many parts of the District.

In Mysore, some Residents took out a motorbike rally shouting slogans against the verdict. Members of various other organisations continued their agitation.

Police said that no untoward incident reported.

Housewife and her son commit suicide by jumping into well

Mysore, Feb 25 (UNI) A Twentyeight-year-old housewife committed suicide by jumping into a well along with her three year old Son in Halagerepura Village in Kollegal Taluk of Chamarajanagara District today. Police said that Savitha, after quarelling with her husband, left the house with Madan and jumped into the well. The bodies were recovered. UNI.....
