1 killed, 2 hurt as motorcycle hits car

Tirupati, Feb 25 (UNI) One person was killed and two seriously injured when the motorcycle on which they were travelling hit a car between Ramapuram and Nagari on the Chennai-Tirupati Highway in Chittoor District, about 45 kms from here this morning.

Police sources said the mishap occurred when the trio, travelling to Nagari on the motorcycle, hit the car proceeding to Tirumala from Chennai.

The deceased was identified as Murali Mohan(27).

Two others -- Lakshminarayana (27) and Dhandapani (27)-- were admitted to the Government Ruia Hospital for treatment, police added.

12 held for violence in Indore

Indore, Mar 13 (UNI) Twelve people were arrested in connection with the clash between members of two communities in the sensitive Toda area of the city last night, police said today.
