Woman killed as truck turns turtle

Kolhapur, Feb 24 (UNI) A woman was crushed to death under a truck which turned turtle on the Kolhapur-Ratnagiri highway near Ambavade village this afternoon.

The woman was ushering a buffalo which too came under the truck and was killed.

The deceased woman has been identified as Manjubai Laxman Shipugade (55). The truck was carrying sugarcane to the Warna Sugar Factory and turned turtle at a turning after the driver lost control, police said.

22 lakh electorate in the district to exercise franchise in ZP
