Wife-husband duo arrested in fake passport racket

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Police have arrested a couple and busted a gang involved in sending people to Pakistan on forged visas.

Afaq Hussain (45) was arrested near the Makki Masjid in Inder Lok while his wife Rukhsana (43) was arrested from their Janta Colony residence in Welcome yesterday, police said today.

''As many fake 91 passports, stamps of the Pakistan High Commission, visa forms&visa stickers and other related documents were recovered from their possession,'' the police added.

Interrogation revealed that the accused would procure passports of those who had already been to Pakistan with genuine visa, besides of those wanting to go there and then replace the genuine stamps on the fake passports.

Three petrol pumps sealed in Kashmir for adulteration

Srinagar, Feb 24 (UNI) Concerned over the reports about the sale of adulterated oil at petrol pumps in the Kashmir valley, the authorities sealed three petrol pumps. Woman alleges gang rape

Etawah, Feb 24 (UNI) A woman was allegedly gangraped by three unidentified miscreants in Civil Lines area of this district of Uttar Pradesh. In her complaint, the woman alleged she was criminally assaulted yesterday by three miscreants who had forcibly entered her Civil Lines residence when her husband Sandeep was not at home. Srinagar, Feb 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed the detention of 20 people detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) for their alleged involvement in the militant activities. A division bench of the high court comprising Justice Hakeem Imtiyaz and Justice Mansoor Ahmad also ordered immediate release of the detainees if they are not involved in any other case.
