Sex racket busted: 5 arrested

Indore, Feb 24 (UNI) Claiming that a sex racket has been busted, police said five people, including two women from Mumbai, were arrested from a house here last night.

The racket being run from a house in the city's Sukhalia area was exposed after few police personnel were sent as decoy customers, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Shrivastava said.

Pimp Chandra Prakash, Mumbai women Neelam and Kusum and a couple Prakash Sahu and Shilpa Sahu were arrested.

Police said the pimp had brought the women from Mumbai and was running the flesh trade in connivance with the Sahu couple at their house.

14 IRB personnel killed in an ambush in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 24 (UNI) At least 14 Indian Reserve Battallion (IRB) personnel were killed and several others injured, six of them critically, in an ambush by suspected militants at Zouzangte village here today. Chemical factory reduced to ashes in Bengal

Barrackpore, Feb 24 (UNI) A chemical factory was reduced to ashes when a major fire broke out at Matilal Mallick Lane under Baranagar police station in North 24 Parganas today. Citizens' meet call for resumption of peace talks in Asom
