Pune, Feb 24 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likley to occur at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather prevailed over east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rjasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Lakshadweep.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of coastal Andhra Praesh, Telanga and coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and in remaining parts of Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and were above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Citizens' meet call for resumption of peace talks in Asom

Imphal, Feb 24 (UNI) Indian Medical Association President A Vivekananda has appealed to the Joint Action Committee (JAC), formed by the family members of a woman who died on February 19 in RIMS, to call off their strike. Death toll in Manipur ambush increases to 15

Imphal, Feb 24 (UNI) One more IRB jawan succumbed to his injuries at Jawaharlal Nehru hospital here, increasing the death toll of today's ambush to 15, police said. The bodies of the deceased IRB personnel were being at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) morgue here. Another jawan was also struggling for his life at the same hospital, police added.
