Notice issued against UP ministers

Hardoi, Feb 24 (UNI) The administration has issued notices against Uttar Pradesh sports minister R K Chaudhary and Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Vishram Singh Yadav for violating election code of conduct.

On February 22, Mr Chaudhary, who is also the SP district chief, had reached Pihani town in a red beacon fitted car to address an election rally.

Mr Yadav had inaugurated three schools after the model code of conduct was came into force.

The notices were issued last evening.

Govt to regularise 200 Hindi teachers

Itanagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet will regularise 200 Junior Hindi subject teachers appointed on contractual basis, Water Resource Department Minister Tako Dabi said here today. Mr Dabi said the cabinet took this decision during its sitting yesterday. About seventy per cent of the schools in the state were running without hindi subject teachers and the cabinet decision would help to give a fillip in this regard, he added. Chandigarh, Feb 24 (UNI) Polling began amid tight security this morning at 0800 hrs in the Valtoha Assembly constituency in Punjab where nearly 1,18,000 voters will decide the electoral fortunes of five candidates.
