Govt Cancels GO 938

Hyderabad, Feb 23 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today cancelled the GO 938 which endorses a check on defamatory and baseless media reports.

Chief Secretary J Harinarayan said in a statement tonight that the GO 938 giving permission to the Special Commisisoner Information and Public Relations to forward defamation cases for legal action, stood cancelled.

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today granted bail to Congress Parliamentarian Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 riots case after admitting the appeal of the CBI. A division bench headed by Justice Manmohan Sarin said Kumar and seven others were granted bail on furnishing a bond of Rs 15,000 each.
