Bangalore, Feb 24 (UNI) Team India Skipper Rahul Dravid says convincing a player dropped from the playing eleven is the toughest job for a Captain.
''One of the challenge faced by leader of the team is to tell a team member that he is dropped in the final Eleven. One has to convinence the player that he was not dropped because he was not fit, but to improve his performance for inclusion in the next match'', he said while participating in a dicussion on team building organised by the Skyline Housing and Construction Pvt Ltd.
Even though the team is picked up by selectors, it was the responsibility of the Skipper to convey the message to the dropped player. ''We have to take into account the popularity of the player dropped, his fans and everythig else....it is a toughest job", he added.
Another challange, according to 'The Wall' was motivatiing a player. Instead of making a player stagnant by using only in one angle, challenges should be given to motivate a player to improve upon. ''More and more challenges should be given instead of making one stagnant. New challenges should be given to motivate a player", he added.
