Tata Steel wins 'Amity Corporate Excellence Award'

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Tata Steel today bagged an award for corporate excellence from Amity International Business School.

The award is based on the results of a research conducted by an expert panel consisting of academicians and management students from Amity Business school.

The panel analysed 200 companies across different sectors.

The factors taken into consideration were years of existence of the companies in India, employees strengths, gross revenue, market capitalisation, net fixed assets, key initiatives taken by the organisation and social responsibilities.

The award is given to corporates, who excelled in their respective domains and have outshined other companies because of their distinct vision, innovation, competitiveness and sustenance.

SBBJ revises BPLR to 12.5%

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) has revised its Bench mark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) from 12 per cent per annum to 12.50 per cent per annum with effect from February 21. However, the increase in BPLR will not affect all existing housing loan upto Rs 15 lakhs, educational loans, new educational loans upto four lakh rupees and crop loans upto three lakh rupees disbursed after April 1, 2006. Truss leads high-level Australian trade delegation to India

Gujarat Gas Q4 PAT up 67 pc

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Gujarat Gas Company Ltd today posted 67.2 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 18.23 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 10.90 crore for the same period last year. Its total income also rose to 44.7 per cent at Rs 237.15 crore during the said period as against Rs 163.84 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.
