Shopper Stop, UK's Home Retail sign MoU

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Shoppers Stop Ltd and HyperCity Retail (India) Pvt Ltd today jointly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UK-based Home Retail Group to develop the 'Argos' format of catalogue retailing in India with exclusive franchise from them.

Yesterday, the company formed a joint venture with Nuance Group AG to bid for contracts to set up duty-free retail outlets in Indian airports.

Kochi, Mar 10 (UNI) Five people, including two men from Uttar Pradesh, were killed and nine people injured in two separate mishaps in the Ernakulam and Thrissur districts of Kerala today. Laloo, 27 and Bharat Yadav were killed when a car, being driven by a local college student, went out of control and hit the two at Chakaraparambu under Edapally police station in the city this afternoon. Kerela Ayurveda sets subsy in Germany

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd will establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Germany to tap the healthcare related software business in Europe. The subsidiary is proposed to be named KatraSoft Europe Gmbh, a company statement said today. Kochi, Mar 11 (UNI) The Congress will mount a state-wide protest against the ''anti-people'' Left Democratic Front government in Kerala on March 22, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala said today. Addressing a press conference here, Mr Chennithala said that Congress activists, led by Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy, will sit on a 'dharna' outside the Secretariat at Thiruvananthapuram on March 22. Air Sahara announces expansion of overseas operations to Male, KL

Kochi, Mar 12 (UNI) Air Sahara today announced an expansion of its overseas services, adding Male and Kuala Lumpur to the foreign destinations covered by it. Addressing a press conference here, Air Sahara president Alok Sharma said while the Cochin-Trivandrum-Male service started on March ten, a Delhi-Kuala Lumpur connection would be added to the network on March 19.
