Over 24 injured in UP road mishap

Pratapgarh, Feb 23 (UNI) Over 24 persons were grievously injured after a speeding Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus collided head on with a truck and overturned here today.

Police said the bus, on way to Bahraich from Allahabad, rammed into a truck and overturned under Mandhata police station area.

The injured were admitted to the nearby community heath centre, where three critically wounded were rushed to Pratapgarh district hospital for treatment.

CM presents supplementary demands of Rs 1,047 crore

Shimla, Feb 23 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today presented supplementary demands of Rs 1047.52 crore in the Vidhan Sabha for 2006-07. Unidentified bodies to be buried tomorrow

Panipat, Feb 23 (UNI) The administration has decided to go in for a mass burial of the unidentified bodies of the Samjhauta blast victims tomorrow even as bodies of six victims, five of them Pakistanis, were taken by their relatives for burial in a nearby village today. Rajasthan Roadways faces cumulative losses worth Rs 400cr

Jaipur, Feb 23 (UNI) Rajasthan Roadways' cumulative losses have touched a whopping Rs 400 crore including an expected loss of Rs 30 crore adding to the state enterprise during the current fiscal. Rajasthan Road Transport Corporation Managing Director R P Jain said though the corporation was able to increase its revenue this year, the escalation in the running cost neutralised the gains.
