MPHC stays Cong leader's expulsion

Indore, Feb 23 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore Bench today issued an interim stay on the expulsion of state Congress President Subhash Yadav from Khargone district's Sewa Cooperatives Committee, Borawan, and issued a notice to Cooperatives Minister Gopal Bhargava.

Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik and Justice J K Maheshwari also issued notices to the Principal Secretary (Cooperatives), Deputy Registrar (Cooperatives), Khargone, Registrar (Cooperative Committees) and the Sewa Cooperatives Committee, Borawan, all of whom are to reply within a month.

Mr Yadav had challenged the Deputy Registrar's expulsion order dated September 23, 2006. Advocate Anand Mohan Mathur was the Petitioner's Counsel while Additional Advocate-General Ashok Kutumbale represented the government.

Justice A M Sapre dismissed Mr Yadav's plea on January 31.

Kolkata, Feb 23 (UNI) The sex workers in the country, who prefer to be called entertainment workers, for the first time will conduct a seven-day all India conference of entertainment workers here from February 25.
