Man kills wife for talking to another man

Surat, Feb 23 (UNI) A man killed his wife for talking to another man at Bedigam in Sonagadh taluka here yesterday, police today said.

Rameshbhai Gamit, a resident of Bedigam in Sonagadh taluka here, had seen his wife Shevatiben talking to another man last evening.

Rameshbhai had called his wife to his house and quarreled with her. During the quarrel, he attacked her with some sharp weapon, killing her on the spot, police said.

Vyara police have registered a case against Rameshbhai and investigation is on, sources said.

Parcel booking in less popular trains to cost less

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Parcel booking in less popular trains will go down due to downgrading for trains with less than 60 per cent of SLR capacity utilisation in the Railway Budget 2007-08. Powerful bomb seized at Asom-WB border

Kokrajhar, Feb 23 (UNI) A powerful bomb was seized from a car from Barobisa area of North Bengal along Asom border. Police here informed that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing about eight kg, was found inside a tiffin-box, kept in a suitcase, from a Maruti van after the driver was forced to open the suitcase on suspicion. Tipaimukh dam construction faces opposition

Imphal, Feb 23 (UNI) The construction of Tipaimukh dam in Manipur has been opposed by various organisations here despite Dr Manmohan Singh's assurance that it will be constructed.
