Jaaydaad.com enters southern region

Bangalore, Feb 23 (UNI) Jaaydaad.com, a real estate marketing network and a part of Global Infocom Limited, today announced the launch of its South India operations here.

Addressing newspersons here, Global Infocom Chairman and Managing Director S K Jain said the company, which had established itself as a reputed real estate marketing company, had decided to extend its footprint to South India which offered buoyant growth in the sector.

He said the Bangalore office would serve as a gateway for Jaaydaad.com's entry into the Southern States and proposed to facilitate marketing of property worth over Rs 2,000 crore through its portal.

Mr Jain said Jaaydaad.com had developed several unique tools and products to market property showrooms, channel partner, expo-cum-sale, magazine and Tenderworld, a service on the portal where majority of the tender relating to real estate and allied services were posted on a daily basis.

To a question, he said Jaaydaad.com would serve as a credible platform for Non-Resident Indians and the citizens to invest in South India in the real estate sector. The company had no plans to enter the business of land development and construction.

Properties worth over Rs 7,000 crore had been marketed through Jaaydaad.com and another Rs 8,000 crore worth properties were in the pipeline, he added.

Contempt of court petition against Kumaraswamy rejected

Bangalore, Feb 23 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court today rejected a criminal contempt of court petition against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for allegedly committing contempt of the Supreme court and the High Court. A Division Bench, comprising Mr Justice Gururajan and Mr Justice Anand Byrareddy, dismissed the petition, filed by city Advocate A V Amarnathan. The petitioner contended that Mr Kumaraswamy and his brother and State Energy Minister H D Revanna had made a scathing attack on the State.....

NABARD sanctions funds for Tripura

Agartala, Feb 21 (UNI) National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned further financial asistance of Rs 59.87 crore to Tripura for construction of 26 rural bridges. This makes the cumulative sanction from Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) to the state to Rs 161.30 crore, an official release today said. The sanction from RIDF is the highest till now to Tripura as well AS to the entire Northeast. NABARD has already sanctioned RIDF loan of Rs 74.33 crore in.....

Mother tongue day observed in state

Agartala, Feb 21 (UNI) Mother tongue day was observed in Tripura today. The day began with colourful rallies being taken out by school students, teachers and renowned personalities, from the Umakanta Academy here who paraded the main thoroughfares carrying placards. State Information, Cultural and Tourism (ICAT) Minister Anil Sarkar and Education Minister Keshab Majumder addressed the gathering at Umakanta Academy ground. Speakers remembered the people of the country and those from Bangladesh who sacrifised their lives for the cause of mother.....
