E-Sys to create supply chain hub in Bengal

Kolkata, Feb 23 (UNI) ESys, a subsidiary of Teledata Informatics Ltd, will set up a supply chain hub in the city to distribute products in the eastern India market.

Speaking to UNI, ESys COO Neeraj Chauhan said here today that Bengal alone is Rs 300 crore market and we want to further penetrate in the NE market. Therefore a supply chain would a viable option.

''The company has already identified 30,000 square feet area to turn this project into reality. It will be a state-of-the-art international standard facility with computerised warehouses and other related linkages,'' he said.

''We want to capture 20 to 25 per cent market share in supplying our products which include PC components, white boxes, mother boards etc,'' he said.

However, Mr Chauhan refused give any investment estiimates for the project.

Singapore headquartered ESys Technologies is a Us $ 2billion company with over 100 operations in more than 30 countries.

Asahi India to borrow up to Rs 2,000cr

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Country's largest glass company Asahi India Glass Ltd today said it is mulling to borrow up to Rs 2,000 crore from banks and other financial institutions. The members of the company will decide upon the matter to borrow the money as and when needed by way of postal ballot. The members will also consider amending the Objects Clause in its Memorandum of Association by inserting a new sub-clause to enable it to carry on.....

Yash Birla group takes art to US

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) In a bid to showcase Indian Art abroad, the Yash Birla group has formed a joint venture 'Birla Art International' with Mirsons Group. The JV will act as a distributor of Indian contemporary art to galleries across the US and Caribbean. This will enable the market to get a glimpse of the Indian contemporary art, which is garnering tremendous response from markets abroad. Both the groups also plan on setting up displays and sales counters.....

Ford rolls out Fiesta's updated version

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Ford India today launched its updated model of Fiesta 1.4-litre petrol ZXi at a price of Rs 6,30,700, ex-showroom New Delhi. With the addition of the new feature-laden model to its Fiesta line-up, the new version of the vehicle is the latest addition to a new six-model category, including three petrol and three diesel variants. ''The new 1.4-litre petrol ZXi, ideal for city driving has been introduced in direct response to customer feedback,'' said Ford India.....
