Bombay Rayon acquires UK-based DPJ Clothing for $ 2.90 mln

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd, a leading manufacturer of fashion fabrics and garments, has acquired the UK-based DPJ Clothing Ltd for 2.90 million dollars.

With the acquisition of 70 per cent of total capital of DPJ Clothing Ltd, it has become a foreign subsidiary of Bombay Rayon, a company statement said today.

''We will be able to expand the customer base in the European region for our designer garments and also get the headway for outsourcing and distributing other related products in that region,'' companys Managing Director Prashant Agarwal said.

State Bank of Patiala hikes Interest for FDs to 9.50%

Patiala, Feb 23 (UNI) State Bank of Patiala today hiked the Bank's fixed deposits rates under the Platinum Deposit Scheme with effect from today. For fixed deposits of three years and above, the Bank will now pay 9.75 per cent instead of 9.25 per cent for senior citizens while for General public, the interest rate will be raised to 9.50 per cent from nine per cent. Minimum deposits under this scheme was Rs 25,000, an official statement said here. UNI.....

Voltas hikes ceiling of FII investment limit to 30 pc

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Voltas Ltd today said its Board has approved the increase in the ceiling of FII investments in the company under the portfolio investment scheme from 24 per cent to 30 per cent of its paid up capital. In addition, Reserve Bank of India has advised the company that the aggregate shareholding of FIIs had reached 28.08 per cent of its paid-up capital as against a limit of 30 per cent, a statemenet said.
