Kolkata to host 12th leather goods fair

Kolkata, Feb 22 (UNI) In order to encourage the production of leather goods, the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (IPTO) is hosting the 12th International Leather Goods Fair (ILGF) here from February 23. The three-day fair, organised by ITPO in collaboration with Council for Leather Exports (CLE), Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA), Government of West Bengal and Bengal National Chamber of Commerce, would be inaugaurated by State Transport Minister Subhas Chakroborty. E-sys Tech to set up two PC plants, invest Rs 250cr in HP

Kolkata, Feb 22 (UNI) ESys Information Technologies Ltd, a subisdiary of Teledata Informatics Ltd, will set up two PC manufacturing plants at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh and Chennai in Tamil Nadu to produce low-cost PCs for Indian market. Addressing a press conference here today, ESys Chief Operating Officer Neeraj Chauhan said, ''The two proposed plants will together manufacture around 17 lakh Personal Computers(PC). The Baddi unit will be operational this year.'' Around Rs 250 crore would be invested in the Baddi.....

Emta group is planning to open new steel plant in Asansol

Durgapur, Feb 22 (UNI) To give a fillip to the industrialisation process in West Bengal, the Emta group wants to open a new steel plant in Asansol as well as a packaged paper mill plant in Raniganj, owner of the group Mr Ujjal Upadhaya said here today.
