RPF constable suspended

Varanasi, Feb 22 (UNI) A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable was suspended for assaulting a Diesel Locomotive Workshop (DLW) employee here today.

Official sources said RPF constable Sajid Siddiqi assaulted DLW employee Dhanpat near the Loco Shed over a petty dispute.

Dhanpat's colleagues reached the spot and staged demonstrations, demanding action against the accused.

Later, RPF commandent S N Chowdhary suspended the constable.

Oppn leader urges for holding Chairman's election

Two teachers killed in van-lorry collision

Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, Feb 22 (UNI) Two college teachers from Madurai were killed on the spot and another injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry on the outskirts of the town today. Police said the accident occurred when the victims and the injured, working at the American College, were coming for a seminar at a sister college here. The victims were identified as Richard Devaraj and Joseph. The injured were admitted to a corporate.....
