Respondent asks for CBI probe in land given by Bihar Govt

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Prem Chandra Mishra on whose PIL Patna High Court had quashed allotment of land to film producer Parkash Jha by Nitish Kumar government, has in his counter affidavit in the Supreme Court alleged that allotment of 12 acres of prime land to Jha at throwaway prices by the Bihar government is scandalous and should be investigated by CBI.

"The land was allotted to Holy Cow Pictures Ltd to develop multiplexes in Patna and other parts of the state without inviting any tender", the respondent no. 1 Mishra has alleged.

Jha did not even apply for land in Aurangabad which was allotted to his firm for commercial purposes.

Parkash Jha is the producer of Hindi movies such as ' Gangajal' and Shool.

M/s Holy Cow Pictures Ltd had challenged the high court judgment in the Supreme Court. The apex court has stayed the verdict.

Mishra in his counter has also alleged that anti social and anti national elements want to control the national economy by investing money without revealing their identity and such possibility can not be ruled out in the present case and hence matters requires to be investigated by the CBI.

Mishra is the chief spokesperson of Bihar Congress Committee.
