Rebel BSP MLAs case hearing tomorrow

Allahabad, Feb 22 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today deferred hearing of a writ petition seeking disqualification of 24 remaining rebel BSP MLAs in the Uttar Pradesh assembly.

Earlier, 13 other rebel BSP MLAs were disqualified by the HC.

These 37 MLAs had formed the Loktantrik Bahujan Dal (LBD) after splitting in two groups and later merged with the ruling Samajwadi Party.

The petition had also sought restraining them from participating in assembly proceedings in future.

The writ was filed by S M Goswami and another person, both ex-students of Allahabad University.

A division bench comprising Justices A Kumar and Dilip Gupta heard the case today, but differed the hearing, as it was not concluded.
