MLC polls: 25 file papers for N Coastal AP constituencies

Visakhapatnam, Feb 22 (UNI) As many as 25 candidates today filed nomination papers for both graduates and teachers constituencies in North Coastal Andhra for the Legislative Council.

Prominent among those who filed their papers include Former TDP Minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Former Mayor Rajana Ramani and Revenue Minister D Prasad Rao's brother D Suran Naidu.

Candidates from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram brought supporters in vehicles in a procession to the District Collectorate here where the nomination papers of the candidates were handed over to Revenue Officer S Satyanarayana who is also the returning officer.

AICC Secretaries for election campaign in Nagaland

Kohima, Feb 23 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretaries Major Ved Prakash and Ranjit Thomas will arrive in Nagaland tomorrow on a three-day visit. During their stay, the secretaries will campaign for the Congress candidates for the March 8 by-elections of Dimapur-I and Tuensang Sadar II Assembly constituencies by addressing rallies in the respective constituencies, Congress Party sources said. Election for JSCWC on March 17

Ranchi, Feb 23 (UNI) Jharkhand State Child Welfare Council (JSCWC) will be its election on March 17, the council's honorary secretary Amit Khare here today said. Mr Khare, who is also the principal secretary to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi, said the election would be conducted for one post of vice chairman, two honoray joint secretaries and eight council members. Battle for UP: Sena to ally with BJP
