House of Pearl acquires warehouse facility in UK

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) House of Pearl Fashions (HoPF), apparel maker in the ready-to-wear segment, today said it has acquired a warehouse facility Milton Keynes in the UK for an investment of 2.4 million pounds.

The take over of the 43,000 square feet facility has been funded through internal accruals and debt and will result in an increase of garment handling capacity of the company to three million pieces per month from two million pieces at present.

With this the total storage capacity of the company through its subsidiary Poeticgem Ltd will be over 90,000 square feet, HoPF said in a statement.

No biz announcements during India visit: Wal-Mart

NHAI to invest Rs 5,000 cr on highways in Haryana

Chandigarh, Feb 22 (UNI) The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is proposing to invest Rs 5,000 crore for widening and improvement of various national highways passing through Haryana. This was stated by NHAI chairman Pradeep Kumar during a meeting of the co-ordination committee to facilitate the implementation of National Highway projects by NHAI in Haryana held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary Prem Prashant here today. The NHAI would spend a total of Rs 9,000 crore on strengthening.....
