Henkel to add solder paste blending facility to Pune plant

Chennai, Feb 22 (UNI) Leading electronic equipment manufacturer Henkel has plans to expand its Pune plant by incorporating a solder paste blending facility.

The new addition will be dedicated to both tin-lead and lead-free solder paste blending specifically for materials destined for the Indian electronics market and will be operational by October 2007, a release here today said.

The 38,000 sq ft Henkel facility, located just outside Pune, is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 qualified and has been operational for over 17 years producing 'Loctite' brand adhesives for industrial and automotive markets.

The new facility will necessitate the hiring of additional personnel to support the operations and Henkel estimates that the entire plant's capacity will be earmarked for consumption in the Indian region.

BOB bags SPJMIR award for the current year

Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Bank of Baroda (BoB) has won the SP Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJMIR) Marketing Impact Award (SMIA) for this year. The bank was declared the winner of the award for its paper titled as 'Marketing, initiatives-Rebranding'.
