Dabur Foods relaunches 'Real' by increasing its price

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Dabur Foods, which is a 100 per cent subsidiery of Dabur India Ltd, today announced the relaunch of its product under the brand name 'Real' and 6 per cent hike in its prices which would be effective since early next month.

Hence the price range of 'Real', which is priced at Rs 68 currently, will go up to Rs 72 from early March.

Briefing the media about it here today, company Chairman Amit Burman said,''At a time when we are celebrating 10 years of completion of the 'Real' brand, the constant rise in the fruit prices coupled with the inflationary pressures, we'are compelled to marginally hike its price.'' Also, he said that 'Real' would be available in the market with a new look as part of its relaunch.

Talking about the two new variants of fruit juice as launched by his company in recent past, he said ''After studying the Indian market, we found that the consumption of sweet lime and pomegrenate juice was quite high compared to other fruits and hence we have added these variants to our product portfolio of late''.

Company General Manager, sales and Marketing, Sanjay Sharma, said ,''With a view to tap ever growing fruit drink market in the country, we have our plans to expand our products in this segment in near future''. The company has already made its foray in this segment through the introduction of 'Coolers' brand.

Asked to comment about his company's strategy to recycle the packages of its products, he said,''We have already started picking up used paper packs of our products and recycling them again to new packs in the metro cities''. On finding the experiment successful, we will implement it for all our eco-friendly packs, he added.

Claas to set up major combine harvester plant in Punjab

Morinda, Feb 22 (UNI) Claas, a Germany-based leading harvesting specialist company, is setting up a combine harvester plant at Morinda in Punjab with an investment of over 19 million euros.
