Vijayawada, Feb 22 (UNI) The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for selling BSNL products through all outlets of BPCL.

Launching the new sales initiative here yesterday, BPCL Regional Manager LPG (South) P Anandsundaresan said as per the MoU, BSNL's recharge coupons, top-up coupons, India telephone cards and Sanchar net cards would be sold through the outlets.

He said in Andhra Pradesh, the BSNL pre-paid products would be available through BPCL's 180 distributors.

Mr Anandsundaresan said the latest initiative had come in the wake of tremendous success of BPCL's novel scheme, "Beyond LPG", launched three years ago.

Under the scheme, the BPCL offers products like kitchenware, non-stick crockery, pickles, vacuum cleaners and dairy products to their customers through the cyclinder delivery boys.

The sales initiative had fetched the company a turnover of Rs 150 crore last year and it was expected to touch Rs 200 crore mark this fiscal.

He said the BPCL had entered into tie-ups with companies like Prestige, Hawkins, SAIL, Butterfly, Eureka Forbes and Priya Foods to cater better services to its customers.
