Arrested person resembles sketches of the blast accused:Police

Bikaner, Feb 22 (UNI) Police today claimed that one of the three people taken into custody here last night in connection with the blasts in Samjhauta Express resembles with the sketches of the accused released by the Haryana police.

Superintendent of Police Ashok Rathore told UNI that two people were arrested and being interrogated. ''It seems they are linked to the attack on Samjhauta Express,'' he said.

However, sources claimed three people, including a woman, were taken into custody in connection with the case.

They said in a joint operation by Rajasthan police and Army a woman identified as one Saroh, a resident of Rampura, was picked up along with her ''brother''. Several criminal cases were registered against them, they added.

One Kamaluddin of Gangasher was also picked up for questioning, on information gathered during the duo's interrogation.

Sources said some incriminating documents were seized from their possession.

A special police team from Haryana is likely to reach here soon and those arrested will be handed over to them.

Nine members of a marriage party killed in jeep-truck collision

Jhajjar, Feb 22 (UNI) Nine members of a marriage party were killed when a jeep carrying them collided with a truck near Dulina village, five km from here, on the Jhajjar-Gurgaon road today. Seven of the deceased were identified as Yashpal, Partham, Swrang and Om Parkash, Jaipal and Kirpal Singh, all from Uttar Pradesh, and driver Rakesh.
