29 cases of unfair means, 3 of impersonation in Nagpur Division

Nagpur, Feb. 22 (UNI) As many as 29 cases of use of unfair means and 3 of impersonation were detected in Nagpur Division during the English paper of the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination today.

Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Divisional Chairman J. D. Katole told UNI that the 29 cases of use of unfair means included 15 in Chandrapur district, 5 in Dawlameti, 4 in Khaparkheda, 2 each in Wadi and Hingna, and 1 in Koradi (all in Nagpur district).

In addition, 3 cases of impersonation were detected in Ramtek, also in Nagpur district, Mr. Katole said. While the board would initiate action against the real candidates in whose place others were appearing in the examination, police complaints would be lodged against the impersonators themselves, he added.

Hawkers attack corporation staff

Surat, Feb 23 (UNI) A group of hawkers today pelted stones at the Surat Municipal Corporation staff when they tried to remove them from the busy Chottapul market area in the city, police sources said. 60 students found indulging in malpractice in HSC exam

Akola, Feb 25 (UNI) As many as 60 students of different faculties, appearing for the Class XII Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Board examination, were found indulging in malpractice on Saturday. The flying squad, set up for prevention of malpractices during examination, had carried out raids at Barshi, Takli, Pinjar, Patur and Murtizapur centres in the district on Saturday, education officer Prakash Pathare said. Missing cleaner of robbed truck found

Palnpur, Feb 27 (UNI) A cleaner who went missing last Sunday after he was robbed of his truck by unidentified men, was found near Bhabhar in Banaskantha district today. The truck was carrying 15 tonnes of copper worth Rs 21 lakh. According to district police chief Vipul Aggarwal, the cleaner Jitendra Kumar Jay Naryan, native of Kaktal district of Sonipat in Haryana, was thrown out from the vehicle near Bhabhar. In his complaint, the cleaner said the truck was taken.....
