Wind River acquires RTLinux IP

Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) City based Wind River Systems, a Device Software Optimisation (DSO) player, today announced acquisition of an IP for RTLinux, a real-time Linux technology developed by Finite State Machine Labs, Inc.

Pursuant to the purchase agreement, Wind River had also acquired rights to future runtime revenue streams for RTLinux customers in the embedded applications field.

"This investment expands Wind River's real-time technology expertise and broadens the company's market opportunity". We provide a robust portfolio of real-time capabilities that meet the specific needs of device manufacturers across a variety of vertical market segments", Venkatesh Kumaran, Country Manager, Wind River India said in a release issued here.

Dr K Sham Sunder promoted as outstanding Scientist

Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) Dr K Sham Sunder, Project Director with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), has been promoted as an outstanding scientist. ADA, in a release here, said Dr Sunder, a Post Graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science here, had been with ADA since 1986. He had also received a doctorate in Applied Mechanics from Cranfield Institute of Technology in the UK. UNI.....

AP CM meets SIMA entrepreneurs

Hyderabad, Feb 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today assured members of the South Indian Mills Association (SIMA) to provide 55 MW power and enough water for the upcoming SIMA Textile Park in Nellore district. The Chief Minister, who held a meeting with officials and SIMA entrepreneurs, also assured them to provide a dedicated 220 KV feederline to ensure uninterrupted power to the Park and other incentives to the entrepreneurs.
