Three armed youths arrested in Kota

Kota, Feb 21 (UNI) Police arrested three armed youths and recovered several arms from their possession.

Police said they found three youths loitering in a suspicious manner near the railway bridge in the Gumanpura police station area yesterday.

On interrogation and a thorough search, the police found three local pistols, nine cartridges and four knives on them.

Police said more arms are likely to be recovered from them and are trying to ascertain where did they get the arms from.

Jharkhand Govt submits report to Centre on MP's killing

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) The Jharkhand Government has submmited a report to the Union Home Ministry on the gunning down of of JMM general secretary and MP Sunil Mahto by Naxalites yesterday, according to official sources. The report was sought by the Centre yesterday in the context of the fact that an MP was killed despite having been highly protected. The sources said Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal was in Jharkhand to review the situation in the wake.....

Policeman, 2 criminals killed in encounter

Jhansi, Feb 21 (UNI) A police constable was killed, while two criminals were killed in an encounter under Sipri area here today. Reports said an inidentified individual had put stones on Bharari road near a railway crossing to intercept unsuspecting motorists and rob them. When a police patrol members tried to clear the path, some armed men allegedly fired upon them, in which constable Balvir Singh sustained grievous wounds. Four men loot diamond unit, caught within two hours

Palanpur, Feb 21 (UNI) The police have arrested four people within a span of two hours after they struck a diamond unit at Dhundia Vadia area and looted diamonds and cash worth Rs 6.02 lakh. Police said the four thieves were arrested on being alarmed by factory owner Jayanthibhai Prajapati (45) and his nephew Shaileshbhai Prajapati (25). The robbers, armed with sharp weapons barged into the diamond cutting unit and injured Prajapati and his nephew greviously before decamping with the booty.....
