Seven people killed in bus-jeep collision

Amritsar, Feb 21 (UNI) Seven people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a jeep and a Pepsu Roadways bus at Tangra town under Jandiala police station in this district today.

While five people died on the spot, two others succumbed to their injuries while being taken to the civil hospital at Amritsar where the injured were admitted. The dead included drivers of the bus and the jeep.

The deceased were being identified. The jeep was carrying a band party from Ludhiana to Amritsar, while the bus was going from Amritsar to Patiala.

Jaipur, Feb 21 (UNI) Three people were killed and 30 others injured when two Rajasthan Roadways buses collided at the Chomu-Sikar national highway late last night. According to police, the accident occured near a small village under Govindgarh police station when one of the driver tried to save a cow crossing the road.
