Rain, snow likely in J

Pune, Feb 21 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Lakshadweep.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in north Orissa, Jharkhand, south Chattisgarh and north Telangana, and were below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, south Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Telangana, south coastal Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra and were above normal in south Konkan and Goa. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Bomb explodes at railway track in Jharkhand

Hazaribagh, Feb 21 (UNI) A bomb exploded on a railway track at Ranchi Road railway station minutes after a passenger train chugged past the platform in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district today. The Gomo-Barwadih passenger train had a miraculous escape as the bomb detonated at 1400 hrs, just a few minutes after it left the platform, police said. Gaya, Feb 21 (UNI) A pall of gloom descended at Karimganj locality of Gaya town following '' no information'' about the fate of 11 members of a family settled in Pakistan who had boarded the Samjauta Express on February 18 on way to Atari. Police recover looted rifles from nabbed ultra

Hazaribagh, Feb 21 (UNI) Jharkhand police today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, besides cash from a dreaded CPI(Maoist) ultra, who was arrested yesterday along with six accomplices from Keredar area in Hazaribagh district. Of 14 rifles recovered from their possession, about eight had been looted from Giridih police station. Suprintendent of Police Praveen Singh said police also recovered a Czech pistol and 337 live cartridges from them. About Rs 8.90 lakh were also recovered besides ornaments worth Rs.....
