Police recover looted rifles from nabbed ultra

Hazaribagh, Feb 21 (UNI) Jharkhand police today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, besides cash from a dreaded CPI(Maoist) ultra, who was arrested yesterday along with six accomplices from Keredar area in Hazaribagh district.

Of 14 rifles recovered from their possession, about eight had been looted from Giridih police station.

Suprintendent of Police Praveen Singh said police also recovered a Czech pistol and 337 live cartridges from them. About Rs 8.90 lakh were also recovered besides ornaments worth Rs two lakh, he said.

The self-styled sub-zonal commander of proscribed CPI(Maoist), carrying a cash reward of Rs one lakh, along with his accomplices were caught yesterday.

Maoist Bhagirath Yadav alias Raghu and his associates were arrested from Bundu village under Keredari police station area.

He was invovled in more than four dozen cases registered in Barkagaon, Patratu, Tandwa, Simaria, Budmu police stations of the state.

AITUC demands government intervention to re-open BATA outlets

Kolkata, Feb 21(UNI) Condemning the role of the management, All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC) today demanded immediate intervention of the state government in reopening the closed Bata outlets in the city besides preventing several anti-employees measures. Squarely blaming the BATA India management for resorting to anti- employees policies, including the serving of termination notices to the mangers and other employees of 20 BATA shops in the city with only one-month salary as compensation, AITUC General Secretary Ranjit Guha here today alleged.....

Syschem India to pump in $12-15 mln for expansion

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Syschem India Ltd today said it will investment 12-15 million dollars over the next two years for its foray into mainstream pharma business. The company will launch its own Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and has lined up three new molecules from the leading therapeutic categories, which will be manufactured at its manufacturing facilities. The marketing of these APIs would be done for the leading pharma companies for which Syschem is already in talks with some.....
