Havell forays into capacitor market, inaugurates 6,00,00 KVaR plant

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Power distribution equipment company Havell's India today forayed into the capacitors segment with the inauguration of a 6,00,000 KVaR per month capacitor plant in Noida.

The company will initially manufacture power factor improvement capacitors like normal duty, heavy duty extended life and super heavy duty long life capacitors and,agricultural capacitors in the plant.

In the second phase beginning September, it will roll out AC capacitors and harmonic filters.

''The capacitor plant is keeping in line with our strategy of following both organic and inorganic growth route. We have invested close to Rs 15 crore in the plant and have imported machinery from Switzerland,'' Havell's India Joint Managing Director Anil Gupta said.

''We are aiming a leadership position in the low voltage capacitor market in the next two-three years", he further added.

Havell's Capacitors come with triple safety protection i.e. a triple shield with energy disconnecter in the event of any fault. The product would be available in the market from the February-end through existing network of 1,800 authorised dealers and 26,000 retailers.
