DuPont to open knowledge centre in Hyderabad

Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) DuPont, a science-based products and service company of the US, will open its knowledge centre in Hyderabad with an investment of over 50 million Dollars in the first phase, DuPont India Executive Director Shankar Krishnan said today.

Speaking to newspersons after announcing the opening of DuPont Refinish Training Centre in the city, the first in the region, he said the proposed knowledge centre would concentrate on Research and Development efforts. The first phase of the knowledge centre was also an effort to tap the potential of local talent and meet the Indian market requirements.

About the DuPont Refinish Training Centre, he said it would cater to mainly workshops and body shop outlets of leading car makers based in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa.

''The opening of the training centre will cater to the increasing need of our body shop customers, in South India, to train their personnel and technicians on the proper usage of Refinish Paint Systems,'' he added.

Mr Krishnan said the main focus of the Refinish Training Centre would be to improve the colour machining skills, day to day trouble shooting in painting job undertaken, including proper surface preparation and spray painting techniques to help enhance the quality of collision repair.

The Training Centre offered the customers to get coached on 'Quick Repair' painting that allowed the customer to complete minor collision repairs and return the car the same day with the latest technology offerings of DuPont and Hypercure paints that saved time and increased productivity significantly. It would also impart training on DuPont Safety Norms and Body Shop Management techniques to help reduce costs.

4 killed in road mishaps in TN

YSR for hiking SHGs with focus on lower income groups

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the Rural Development Department to increase the number of Women Self-Help Groups (SHG) in the state by including the lower income groups other than BPL families.
