''Doctors taking very good care'' of Samjhauta victims: Kasuri

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri today praised the doctors of Safdarjang hospital for ''taking very good care'' of those injured in the Samjhauta Express bomb explosions on February 18-19 as both India and Pakistan strongly condemned the incident in which 68 people have died so far.

''...our appreciation for the services of the doctors who are really taking very good care of patients,'' the Pakistan Foreign Minister said at a joint press conference along with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee after their talks and the Fifth India-Pakistan Joint Commission Meeting (JCM).

''It was unfortunate that our arrival was preceded by the horrendous tragedy. No words are strong enough to condemn the incident. It underlines the need for cooperation'' between the two countries to prevent such incidents.

The External Affairs Minister, while assuring Pakistan that the government of India would make every effort to bring to justice the perpetrators of this heinous act, said all efforts were being made to identify the dead and provide succour to the bereaved families.

Mr Mukherjee, who held talks with his Pakistani counterpart and co-chaired the JCM with him, noted the meeting took place two days after the ''gruesome tragedy.'' ''We strongly condemn the blasts in which at least 68 innocent lives were lost and several other persons were injured. All efforts are being made to identify the dead bodies and give succour to the bereaved families. Government of India will make every effort to bring to justice the perpetrators of this heinous act,'' he added.
