Agriculture policy according to Jharkhand's need: Razi

Ranchi, Feb 21 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi today stressed the need for evolving an agricultural policy according to the state's need.

Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day Kisan mela-agrotech 2007 at Birsa Ariculture University (BAU) here, Mr Razi said effort should be on to bring laboratory experiments for practical use of farmers.

He also urged the government to create an ambience so as to make the farmers feel secure.

Mr Razi also expressed concern over the fact that Jharkhand was not self-dependent on agricultural produce.

AP Govt mulls concessions for woman entrepreneurs

Hyderabad, Feb 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state government would consider providing concessions to woman entrepreneurs in the state. Inaugurating a seminar on ''Investment Opportunities in IT and ITeS' organised by the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) here, Dr Reddy said women entrepreneurs were coming up with various ventures, including those in the IT sector. YFLO Chairperson Harjinder Kaur Talwar said the Indian IT-ITeS industry had recorded a revenue of 23.6 billion US.....

New Technopark building inaugurated in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 22 (UNI) The Technopark here emerged as one of the largest IT Parks in the country with Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan inaugurating a 850,000 sq ft new building, taking its total built-up area to 2.2 million sq ft.
