85 children taken ill after taking tetanus toxide vaccine

Vadodara, Feb 21 (UNI) At least 85 children of the minority-dominated city police station area were hospitalised today following alleged reaction of tetanus toxide vaccine.

Police and hospital sources said the children fell ill with symptoms of vomiting and other reactions in the body soon after they were administered the vaccine this evening at the Lalvava primary school, run by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC).

The victims, in the age group between 7 and 11, were immediately rushed to the nearby Jamnabai hospital.

Doctors said all the children were out of danger.
