Two teachers killed in road accident

Jaunpur, Feb 20 (UNI) Two teachers were killed when their motorcycle collided head-on with a jeep here today.

Police said the jeep, coming to Jaunpur, hit the bike near Union Bank in Line Bazar area, killing one Baijnath Yadav (48) on the spot.

Another rider Sajjan Kumar Yadav succumbed in the hospital.

Both the deceased were residents of Jamalpur village and were on their way to Madiaon area.

Panipat, Feb 20 (UNI) As many as 16 of the 66 bodies of the victims of the Samjhauta Express blasts lying at the Civil hospital here have been identified so far while DNA samples have been taken of the remaining bodies. Srinagar, Feb 20 (UNI) Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) pesonnel were among three people killed and while one was injured during the ouernight recovery of some arms and ammunition in the Kashmir by the valley by the security forces. An official spokesman said a Road Opening Party (ROP) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was fired upon by militants on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway at Sangam, about 42 km from here in south Kashmir district of Anantnag this afternoon......

Night temperatures dip in North West region

Chandigarh, Feb 20 (UNI) Night temperatures again dipped in north-west India today with Adampur in Punjab registering 4.4 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature recorded in the plains. The minimum temperature hovered one degree to two degrees celsius below normal as many areas in the region remained shrouded in fog. Jaipur, Feb 20 (UNI) Temperature fluctuations continued in Rajasthan with the constant circulation of north-easterly winds and a partly cloudy sky. Sketches of 2 suspects released, DNA of victims taken

Panipat, Feb 20 (UNI) The Haryana Police today released the sketches of two suspects who could be behind the Samjhauta Express blasts while authorities took DNA samples of badly charred bodies of victims to establish their identity.
