Temp above normal at several parts of the country

Pune, Feb 20 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and below normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Marathwada and in remaining parts of Uttaranchal.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Rajasthan, Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and in remaining parts of Marathwada and were above normal in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely to occure at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occure at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Mehgalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh State, Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Very light rain have occured at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at a few places in Tamil Nadu Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh State and Karnataka State.

Load restriction likely in K'taka

MADC signs MoU with HCL

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoV) with Information Technology major HCL for a project in Multimodel International hub airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) special economic zone SeZ. Speaking on the occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said the MoU will increase the investment in Vidarbha region. HAL official caught redhanded while accepting bribe

Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) An Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) officer was today caught redhanded by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths while accepting a bribe for showing official favour. According to a release here, HAL Central Salvage Chief Supervisor C K Ravunni Kutty was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 as against his demand of Rs 1,20,000 for allowing M/s Universal Enterprise proprietor Syed Hussain to lift plastic scrap from the Central Salvage as per contract.
