Agartala, Feb 20: The Tripura Government has taken up measures to provide safe drinking water to all the rural areas by 2010, an official release today said.
According to the release, there has been a scarcity in drinking water supply, particularly in rural and hilly areas, due to high iron content in water in recent years.
The first initiative taken to improve the situation was the setting up of two mini rural surface water.....

New York, Feb 20: Strongly condemning the blasts aboard the Samjhauta Express yesterday, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said the perpetrators of the shocking attack should be punished.
''This heinous crime cannot be justified by any cause and its perpetrators should be brought to justice, '' Mr Ban said.

Panipat, Feb 20: Claiming vital clues, the Haryana Police today released the sketches of two suspects who could be behind the twin blasts in the Samjhauta Express which left 68 people dead yesterday.
Addressing a press conference here, Rohtak range IGP Sharad Kumar said the two suspects were seen arguing with the RPF personnel in one of the coaches of the Samjhuata Express as it was running from Delhi towards Panipat.
