Security tightened at Gorakhpur Railway Station

Gorakhpur, Feb 20 (UNI) Security has been beefed up at the Gorakhpur Railway Station, following the bomb blasts in the Delhi-Attari Samjhauta Express.

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has to participate in various railway programmes today in Chitauni, Bihar which comes under the same railway division.

According to sources, a large number of security personnel have been pressed into round the clock service. Sniffer dog squads will now check the trains before it departs from the station.

At least 68 pasengers have been killed in the Delhi-Atari Samjhauta Express bomb blast near Panipat on Sunday last.

'Super Strike' wins the main event

Mysore, Feb 21 (UNI) 'Super Strike' ridden by Laxmikanth won the Smt Satyavaty V Char memorial cup, the main event of the races held here today. HC stays charge sheet proceedings against police officer

Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court today stayed for eight weeks all further proceedings in pursuance of a charge sheet filed by the Government against Inspector General of Police (Public Grievances and Human Rights) R Kempaiah under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Mr Justice Abdul Nazeer granted the interim injunction and directed the Counsels of the Union and State Governments to take notice of the writ petition, filed by Mr Kempaiah challenging the validity of the charge sheet......
