New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today reiterated his stand that the destiny of the people of India and Pakistan was inter-linked and that his government would not let the perpetrators of blasts succeed in their designs.

Talking to mediapersons after visiting the injured in the blasts at Safdarjung Hospital, Dr Singh said it was the ''solemn resolve'' of the governments of India and Pakistan not to let the nefarious designs of those involved in the blasts succeed.

''My heart goes out for the families who have lost their near and dear ones,'' he said.

''Our best tribute to those who lost their lives would be to remain steadfast in our goal of normalising the ties between the two nations and defeating the very purpose of those who want to sabotage this process,'' he added.

''I still believe that the destiny of the people of both the countries was inter-linked,'' Dr Singh said.
