NTPC signs MoU with Japan's Kyushu Electric

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) State-owned power major National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to form an alliance with Japan-based Kyushu Electric Power Company.

Under the allaince, experts and information from different areas of the business will be exchanged to promote mutual understanding of the systems, policies, business planning&management and various best practices used by the parties to achieve goals and for exploring the possibility of joint business development.

Shortfall in capacity addition, Govt

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) The government has said there was a shortfall in capacity addition in the tenth plan period of 23,250 MW against a target of 41,110 MW. The plan originally envisaged introduction of super criticial thermal power projects in the country. These projects aggregating 3,960 MW could not be taken up due to delay in technology tie-up. Sunny day makes Holi merrier for revellers

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) A bright and sunny day greeted Holi revellers in the Capital today with a nip in the air tucked-in, even as the evening brought a sweep of cloud or two with it but no rains.
