Kitex Garments bags WRAP certificate

Kochi, Feb 20 (UNI) Kerala-based Kitex Garments has bagged 'A' level certification from US-based Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP) for excellence in garment manufacturing.

According to an official release here today, Company Managing Director Sabu M Jacob said the WRAP certificate was awarded after gauging the performance of the company for three years in fields including, social compliance, health safety, human rights and quality systems.

He said the recognition assures quality supplies to the consumers and would help to increase the market share in the world garment market.

The WRAP is a conglomeration of 21 associations with a membership of more than 10,000 companies engaged in apparel and footwear manufacturing.

Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) Despite the fact that there was high awareness among the people living in the country, still there is a low level of ownership of life insurance, says the finding of 'Max New York Life-NCAER-India Financial Protection Survey. While 78 per cent of the people surveyed are aware of the life insurance policies, only one-fourth of the Indian households own a life insurance policy, says the survey. Centurion Bank of Punjab to increase PLR from March 1

Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) Joining the bandwagon with other banks in the country's post CRR (Cash Reserve Ratio) hike scenario, Centurion Bank of Punjab has indicated that it is set to increase the Prime Lending Rate (PLR) by 100 basis points to 14.50 per cent per annum.
