Jockey Silva Storai suspended for one year

Bangalore, Feb 20 (UNI) The Stewards of Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) today suspended jockey Ms Silva Storai for one year till February 29 next year for questionable riding of her mount on Friday last.

The French jockey was pulled up for not permitting her mount 'Niccoletto' to run on its merit in the H Devereux Memorial Plate held on February 16.

In the above race, the Stipendary Stewards reported trainer Irfan Ghatala and Jockey Silva to the stewards in this connection. The stewards held an enquiry and examined trainer and the jockey. After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr Irfan Ghatala Rs 10,000 for his unsatisfactory explanation.

On the same day in A V Venkatesh Memorial Plate, Jockey Anthony Stephen, the rider of 'Panchakshari', was fined Rs 5,000 for shifting 'out' approaching the 250 mts and causing severe interference to 'Destiny Girl' (S Ramesh up) on his outside, the BTC release said here today.

No trust motion againast speaker rejected

Bangalore, Feb 20 (UNI) Spacecraft hovering around the earth will soon surf and talk with each other once the ongoing work on an Inter Planetary Internet is successful.
