Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) ICICI Bank, the second largest bank in India and Sarovar Hotels today joined hands to launch the ICICI Bank-Sarovar Hotels co-branded credit cards.
Briefing the media about it here, MD of Sarovar Hotels Anil Madhok said,''Sarovar Hotels is on a major expansion phase and this strategic tie-up with country's leading bank is an important benchmark to further build on our guest loyalty''.
The Sarovar Hotels has already had a chain of 36 star hotels in the country under brand names like 'Park Inn', 'Hometel', and others.
Also, it has plans to increase the strength of its hotels to 60 by 2010.
Speaking on the occasion, GM and Head of Cards Product Group, ICICI Bank Sachin Khandelwal said,''Like other credit cards being offered by us, this card too is lifetime free for our customers and there is no membership fee''. The multiple reward points scheme offered by the card enables a customer to earn 4 reward points for every Rs 100 spent at Sarovar Hotels, resorts and restaurants.
Thus a customer can avail himself/herself of one night free stay for a couple at any Sarovar hotels on incurring a spend of Rs 10,000 on the card. Some of the other features of the card include flexi check-in, check-out timings, priority on room reservations, free stay for second person and others.
Executive Director of Sarovar hotels Ajay Bakaya said,''Currently we have got 2,500 rooms in our 36 hotels and soon we will have our plans to increase the figure by 1,800 in addition to it''. He claimed that his hotel has got the room occupancy rate of 85 per cent.
