HLL net sales up 9%

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) Announcing its fourth quarter and CY06 results, Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) today said its net sales was up 9 per cent at Rs 12103.39 crore as against Rs 11060.6 crore in the previous year.

The net profit surged by 32 per cent to Rs 1855.37 crore as compared to Rs 1408.1 crore.

The OPM reported at 13.6 per cent against 13 per cent while the CY06 EPS improved to Rs 8.4 as against Rs 7.3.

For the Q4 CY06, the company posted net sales of Rs 3156.10 crore as against Rs 2974.3 crore, up by 6.1 per cent.

The net profit jumped by 1.9 per cent to Rs 511.18 crore as against Rs 520.9 crore. Its OPM stood at 15.8 per cent against 16.2 per cent.

Withdrawal of STPI benefits to reduce net margins by 15-17 pc
