Eleven identified including seven Pakistanis

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Eleven of the 68 killed in the Samjhauta Express blasts have been identified so far including seven Pakistani nationals and two RPF personnel.

Also among those identified is Yasmeen Akhtar, a resident of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, and Shekina Begum from Salempur in Delhi, a Northern Railway release said.

While six of the seven Pakistanis identified - Saiyyad Akhtar, Tasleem Khan, Nafeesa Begum, Mahreen Khan, Rool Amin and Mohd Sajid - hailed from Hyderabad in Pakistan, the seventh, Shafiq Ahmed, is a resident of Karachi.

Among those identified are also two RPF personnel, Kashmir Singh from Ferozpur and Rajender Pal from Gurdaspur in Punjab.

Railway Safety Commissioner to hold public hearing at Ambala

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS, Northern Circle), who has been ordered to hold an inquiry into the Samjhauta Express twin blasts near Panipat, will hold public hearing for two days -- February 23 and 24 -- at Ambala in Haryana. New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today visited the Safdarjung Hospital and met the eleven people injured in yesterday's Samjhauta Express blasts.
